Webmaster's Musicology Trivia Page.

HMMmm. Had enough of the visual puzzles? Try guessing classical pieces "ripped" from some of my favorite CDs.

We'll start out simply with Musicology Trivia Game A's single question: just name the composer and the title for the sound file below. It's a fairly easy one, just to get you started.

Here's the music to guess: a vocal piece I did in college.

E-mail me if you got it right and need to gloat. New games depend on whether e-mails show there's been any interest.

Stumped? Here are the answers: The "I Give Up" Page.

The next test will be "Test B", which will replace "Test A" above , so check back for the next game.

Why a music trivia page?

Ever tune the radio to your favorite classical station, only to find that you've come in on the middle of a piece you cannot place?

This game is like that. You'll try to guess what those pesky unnamed classical pieces are. We'll start off with composer's name and title of the piece. Later on, we'll ask era, composer, title, and, for the more attuned, artist and conductor.

So, have fun here, and don't get frustrated, because you'll find those answers right away on the "I Give Up" Page.
